Things looked bright for his academic and athletic futures until a violent incident oddly enough on the baseball field saw him strike a player who rushed the pitching mound.The boy was comatosed and Gerik left with a life time NCAA ban.
This resulted in a shocking turn when he chose to enlist in the united states marine core in exchange the core settled the case with the comatosed boys family out of court.
Details of his time served in the core are scarce but he was officially awarded multiple purple hearts and the coveted Congressional Medal of Honer.
Upon his leave from service he travelled to Japan to train under the tutalidge of The Ultimo Dragon and the Great Muta.A year later he turned pro teaming with fellow Muta student Akuma Muta to wrestle around the world as The Silent Dragons(Muta being Japanese for silence and dragon as homage to ultimo.)
Both men now have goals of competing in the states with this contract being the 1st step towards that dream.
