Christy Champion walks into a gym near the Capital Arena and see's a few random guys working out in a ring and drops her bag down on the mat and looks in.
Christy: "I got next."
The guys stop and look outside of the ring at Christy who is already in her ring gear.
Man: "You want to wrestle one of us? Are you out of your damn mind?"
Christy: "I'm pretty sure I didn't stutter." She rolls her eyes.
One of the men gets out of the ring and Christy gets in and circles around the man and as they tie up, she EASILY goes behind him and locks in a TIGHT sleeper hold which is QUICKLY putting the man out.

Christy is just seconds from putting the man to sleep when his friend who seems none to happy as several people have begun to circle the ring cheering Christy on. Embarrassed he slides in and grabs Christy by her hair forcing her to release the hold on the first man. As he pulls her up Christy drills him with a fore arm to the groin sending him down in pain. She mocks the man rubbing her hands together and sticking her tongue out at him.
What she didnt see was the original victim had grabbed a dumbbell from ringside and slid back in preparing to assault Christy when he was met with a solid right hook from Gerik Maroda sending him down to the mat where he wisely chose to roll out of the ring. As Christy turned to see Gerik she seemed unaware of his save. Instead giving him a look as if to say why are you in my ring right now.

She flips her hair
Christy: "Okay I know we are teaming up this week but seriously, YOU want a piece of me too? Didn't you just see what I did to TWO men? Gerik, you don't want to spar with me."
She confidently walks up to him and puts her hands on her hips, smile on her face as her lip ring and belly button ring glow distinctly obviously having been upgraded to real diamonds after winning the 20 grand.

Without a moments hesitation Gerik shoots for a single leg takedown catching Christy completely off gaurd. He quickly pins her shoulders to the mat holding her arms down. Before giving her a smile and jumping back up to his feet.
Gerik: I think thats 1-0 me.
Gerik extends his hand to Christy who has a mixed look off shock and anger on her face.

She rubs her hands on the mat and then reaches for his hand and he pulls her up and she looks upset.
Christy: "I hate losing. I can not STAND IT!"
Christy goes on a rant about losing that goes a good 10 minutes and Gerik has a bored look on his face so Christy grabs his hand and squeezes it.
Christy: "If we're partners now, and you just beat me, I need a reason to forgive me. I need you to teach me the counter to your best holds."
She looks at him and he looks hesitant.

She wants to know how to counter act my holds he thinks to himself. Gerik can see the wheels in Christy's head turning. Shes looking for an advantage for when they meet in the ring down the road. If he was smart he wouldn't play into her hands. But then again if he's really the best it won't matter what he shows her.
Gerik: I don't see why not that is why where here right? I'll show you my secrets but only if you show me yours?
He smiles thinking surely she will back out now.

Christy: "The only counter for the Champion Lock is to not find yourself in it."
Christy laughs and looks around and see's the ring still surrounded by would be wrestlers.
Christy: "While we have an audience, we might as well entertain them, right?"
She leans in and whispers
Christy: "Light spar, make me look good, I win."

Gerik nodded his head in acceptance of her challenge. Then the two backed up and began stretching before circling the ring. Gerik then removed his shirt tossing it to a young girl outside the ring. The girl giggled to her friend as Gerik Gave her a very uncharacteristic wink. Christy meanwhile standing with her arms folded wasn't impressed rolling her eyes.
Gerik: You ready Girl?
Gerik closes the distance between he and Christy and dares her to make the first move.

Christy calls his bluff and goes in and they go to lock up and their fingers hit each other the wrong way and Christy screams and steps back.
Christy: "What are you doing you idiot!?!?"
She looks at her fingers and then up at him with a look that he will have nightmares about.
Christy: "How do you call yourself my PARTNER and you JUST chipped my freakin nail polish!!!!"

Gerik seems confused thinking to himself this girl just took a stomp to the face last night at the hands of Ferrari in stride. Now she complains because of a broken nail. Must be a bluff she's baiting him he thinks.
Gerik: I'm sorry I thought you where tough I must have been mistaken. Next time I'll be more gentle.
Gerik knows this will get here going and maybe even focus her on the fact that they are going up against two solid competitors this Friday. Nakamura and Ferrari are not gonna give a damn about her nails.

Her face turns red and she looks down at her chipped nails and then back up at him again.
Christy: "If that's all you got, your in for a long night."
She waves him on with her hands and they grapple and this time she hits an arm drag aggressively on him and the fans around the ring cheer and look on surprised at how easy she made it look.
Christy: "You were saying about me NOT being tough?"

Gerik smiled and shook his arm out impressed at Christy's technique. Though he new better then to feed her ego. Instead he took another route.
Gerik: Not bad... for a girl.
Gerik was now grinning from ear to ear as the vain on Christys head was throbbing full tilt. She rushed him in the corner but he quickly moved and rolled her up from behind in a pin attempt. As he released he hopped back to his feet and held up 2 fingers with one hand and a 0 with the other. Gerik then leaned in and whispered.
Gerik: You want to beat me girl your gonna have to work for it. Now get that ass in gear and focus.
Gerik steps back and motions for her to tie up again.

Christy is FUMING at this point and REFUSES to lock up with him.
Christy: "You know what? I shouldn't even be here. This isn't a REAL match, this is just us messing around. I don't need the training, you obviously do because those 2 pins were the WEAKEST Things ever. I just let you win because I wanted to make you feel better about yourself.
We're partners, but we aren't best friends, don't get it confused. The fact is, I'M the star of the team this week. I don't give a damn if your the world champion or not. This is MY team. Do you understand me?"

Gerik seems really disappointed In Christy. He thought for sure being a competitor she would relish a challenge not shy away from it. Then again he thought not everyone can be like him. He shrugs at Christy and concedes to her demands if only to avoid jeopardizing there chances for victory this Friday.
Gerik: Well what now if where not gonna train how do you suggest we prepare for our match?
Gerik walks over to the ring apron and pulls a couple bottle waters from his gym bag. Offering one to Christy as he takes a drink from the other.

The crowd disperses seeing them stop wrestling and begin chatting amongst themselves. Christy looks at him before taking the water.
Christy: "Um aren't you gonna at least open it up for me? Or do I need to chip more nails today?"
She rolls her eyes and Gerik actually does look annoyed and Christy notices it.
Christy: "Okay we're teaming up this week and you look completely upset at me for NOTHING. What the hell man? I thought we were getting along better?"
